Indian Motorcycle appears to be making one of the biggest changes to the Scout lineup in years. EPA certification information for 2027 suggests the Indian Scout family could shrink dramatically, with several current models and trim levels disappearing.

In this video, we break down exactly which Indian Scout models appear to be staying, which ones could be going away, and why Indian may be simplifying the lineup so aggressively.

This comes at an especially interesting time for Indian Motorcycle. Polaris recently separated Indian into a standalone company after selling a majority stake to Carolwood LP, and new CEO Mike Kennedy has already talked about reducing product complexity, cutting unnecessary SKUs, helping dealers manage inventory and focusing Indian on the motorcycles where it can compete strongest.

We’ll look at what could happen to models like the Scout Classic, Scout Sixty Classic, Sport Scout RT and the +Tech trim levels, while bikes like the 101 Scout, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout and Super Scout appear positioned to remain.

Is this exactly what Indian Motorcycle needs to become a stronger company—or are we beginning to see the effects of private-equity ownership and cost cutting?

Let me know what you think below.

**NOTE:** The reported 2027 lineup changes discussed in this video are based on EPA certification information and industry reporting. Indian Motorcycle has not yet officially announced its complete 2027 Scout lineup.
