The hunt for the perfect Harley-Davidson M8 Softail is officially over. After test riding three formidable softail bikes—I made a decision. I found a total unicorn hiding in a warehouse, and today, I am signing the paperwork, ringing the delivery bell, and bringing it home.

But before this new custom build series can truly begin, I’m having the bike delivered straight to Pedro at Wanderer Customs. The dealer has made some massive performance claims about what’s hidden inside this engine, and we need to verify the case stamps to see if we just struck gold or if I got taken for a ride.

Once the bike is on the lift and vetted by a professional, it’s time to hit the interstate for the very first official rip, get my raw on-bike reactions to the power, and make that first stop at the gas pump.
