Harley-Davidson's new CEO just said something that caught my attention—and it may confirm what riders have been saying for years. For the last several years, Harley focused on premium motorcycles, higher profit margins, and its most profitable segments like Touring, Cruisers, and Trikes under The Hardwire strategy. On paper, the plan made sense. Harley made more money per motorcycle, strengthened margins, and focused on premium products.

But did Harley accidentally remove the ladder that created future Harley riders?
