Today I’m taking out the 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 for its First Ride, and this one might surprise a lot of people. Yamaha dropped the GT+ for the U.S. this year, leaving us with a more affordable base model — but does that make it any less capable? I’ll be putting the Tracer 9 through its paces in real-world conditions, from city streets to highway runs, and seeing how that legendary CP3 engine feels outside of Yamaha’s press launch setting. We’ll talk comfort, suspension, tech, and everything in between — and of course, I’ll give it a Chase Score at the end to see where it lands on the leaderboard.
