We have been using DJI action cameras for the last four years, for all our motorcycle POV and riding shots, in our reviews, lifestyle and travel videos, having previously switched from using GoPro cameras. We wanted to find out how the new GoPro Hero 14 Black compared to the latest DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, to confirm whether or not we had made the right choice.

We discuss the ESSENTIAL features that we need on an action camera for motorcycle content, which also includes occasional walk-and-talk- vlogging, especially on our travel videos, such as we did in India recently. We compare both cameras side-by-side to find out which camera does it best. We look at picture quality and colour rendition, ease of use, audio connection for Bluetooth mics and sound quality, stabilisation, warp effect and whether it has unwanted FOV Fish eye distortion, and also discuss some other features that we tend not to use, but it's nice to know they are there.

Finally, we crown our overall winner.
